On September 18, 2024, we encourage you to wear red t-shirts to fundraise and raise awareness for cancer research and patient support. Our Story

Rob Mannino, COO of The Kulka Group, co-founded Construction Cures Cancer following his own battle with a rare blood disorder linked to blood cancer. Diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called Essential Thrombocytosis in November 2020 after experiencing unusual symptoms like facial paralysis, Rob faced significant challenges.

During this time, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) provided crucial support, offering access to medical resources and specialists that helped him navigate his condition. Inspired by the support he received, Rob became the 2023 Corporate Walk Chair for LLS's Light the Night Walk at Eisenhower Park, helping raise $750k for blood cancer research in 2023.

Alongside his business partner Devin Kulka, the team has been responsible for helping raise nearly $3M for the LLS mission. Together, they launched Construction Cures Cancer to leverage the construction industry's strength to support cancer research and inspire community involvement in overcoming life’s greatest challenges.
